Africa Sojourns - Day 5: The Road to Joburg

Jan. 1, 2018: Happy New Year! Started ours off by traveling back to Joburg, as they call it, which is about an 8 hour trip from Kruger. Before that, however, we woke up at 5:30 a.m. to do a bush walk where our guide instructed us to follow instructions or risk death. (That'll wake you up.) We were greeted by a herd of buffalo but didn't see any lions, thankfully. Along the way back to town, we stopped at Blyde Canyon, the 3rd largest canyon in the world. Today was mostly travel and then crashing at the hotel. BUT... we finally saw a rhino (at a truck stop, no less) and completed our quest to see the Big Five. Oh yeah, and I hit my elbow and have a pretty nasty bruise.
